Katrien Foubert studied at the conservatories of Antwerp, Amsterdam and earned her Master’s in Brussels in the class of Shirley Laub. She played regularly with Belgian and international orchestra and ensembles. At the moment, Katrien is finishing her doctorate at the KU Leuven and is a clinical music therapist and academic researcher with the University Psychiatric Center KU Leuven. She is a teacher in the music therapy department at LUCA, School of Arts, campus Lemmens.
Katrien Foubert studeerde achtereenvolgens aan de conservatoria van Antwerpen en Amsterdam en behaalde haar master diploma aan het Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles in de klas van Shirley Laub. Ze speelde regelmatig in verschillende Belgische en internationale orkesten en ensembles. Momenteel doctoreert ze aan de KULeuven en is ze als klinisch muziektherapeut en wetenschappelijke onderzoeker verbonden aan het Universitair Psychiatrisch Centrum KULeuven. Ze doceert in de afstudeerrichting muziektherapie in LUCA, School of Arts, campus Lemmens.
Katrien Foubert a étudié successivement aux conservatoires d'Antwerpen et d'Amsterdam, et obtint sa maîtrise au Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles dans la classe de Shirley Laub. Elle joue régulièrement dans divers orchestres et ensembles belges et internationaux.
Actuellement, Katrien mène son projet de doctorat à la K.U.Leuven . Elle travaille aussi en tant que musicothérapeute clinique et chercheuse scientifique au «Universitar Psychiatrisch Centrum K.U.Leuven». Elle est également professeur au «LUCA, School of Arts, campus Lemmens», spécialisation « thérapie musicale ».
